About

I am a foreign service officer, dad to two great little dudes, husband to a wonderful wife and whenever I get the chance, any or all of the following:

  • a photography enthusiast
  • a long distance runner
  • an explorer
  • a hunter gatherer, but also a farmer
  • a scholar masquerading as a history buff
  • Mr. Fix-it
  • a rugby and tennis fan

This blog is my attempt to share some of the wonders that I get to see and experience.  It’s a big world out there, enjoy the sights and welcome.

  1. Hi, I work for Mission San Luis, a non-profit living history museum in Tallahassee, Florida and am interested in using your image “Florida Cattle at Sunset” to promote a free lecture by Dr. Amy Bushnell about “Early Florida and Cattle Country Patterns in the Americas.” With your and Dr. Bushnell’s approval the image would be used in a flyer and social media. I will include a credit for your image (www.diplomonkey.com?).

Your photos are wonderful and your blog very interesting, by the way!

    Thank you!
